Mike Borland graduated from Baylor Law School with honors, sixth in his class of one hundred and sixteen, in 1981. He was Notes and Comments editor of the Baylor Law Review, and a member of The Order of Barristers. His preferred areas of practice are Immigration and Personal Injury. Mr. Borland has been active in the representation of numerous clients with claims resulting from breast implants and victims of Fen-Phen use, including extensive consulting and referral work in these areas of practice for other law firms. He has now combined his interest and varied experience in complex areas of law with his love of Spanish, to concentrate upon immigration law and immigration litigation.
Mr. Borland is admitted to practice before all Texas State and U.S. District Courts, The U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and The United States Supreme Court, and has appellate experience in Texas Courts of Appeal, the Texas Supreme Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. Supreme Court. He is a member of The Texas Bar Association, The Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the American Immigration Lawyers Association and its Texas Chapter. He is fluent in Spanish, is an instrument rated pilot and a member of Mensa.
